Nature Art Exhibition Albany Creek artist Michelle Caitens can’t wait for the Queensland Artists’ Society’s biggest show of the year. The show will exhibit her intricately detailed oil painting featuring the endangered Bengal tiger In Respect of Tigers. The show is titled International Nature in Art and will feature an exhibition of outstanding artworks of wildlife and nature from around the world - paintings, sculptures, prints, cards, calendars, books and jewellery to delight the eyes and soul of any greenie! Many Pine Rivers Shire artists are exhibiting their ‘wild art’ in the exhibition, which will be officially opened by Count Andreas and Countess Virginia von Faber-Castell on Friday, November 30, at 6pm at the Logan Art Gallery, Wembley Rd, Logan Central. The International Nature in Art 2007 exhibition will continue through to 5 January 2008, open Tuesdays - Saturdays. Closed between Christmas and New Year. Entry is free. The Queensland Wildlife Artists’ Society was established in 1983 in Brisbane and is a non-profit organisation which has grown to a dynamic society with members throughout Australia and overseas. Exhibiting members of QWASI have a profound interest in art and the environment and many members are wildlife carers or members of wildlife/environment protection groups. The Society actively supports and raises funds for wildlife and conservation groups. New members are always welcome.
